Last night, HUD announced FHA loan limit increases for 2018.
“In high-cost areas, the FHA’s loan limit ceiling will increase up to $679,650, from $636,150 this year. The floor will also increase from $275,665 up to $294,515 in 2018.”
An increase in loan limits means more buyers, with home values above the prior ceilings, will benefit from the qualifying flexibility associated with FHA loan programs.
The loan limit increase, for FHA, will be live starting January 1, 2018.
